The battle is a good reel all around for the price. We use the 5000, 6000 and 8000 on all of our charters and have not had any issues. If you are looking to use the reel for sharking (50lb or less), I would go with the 6000. If you have any other questions, let me know. Regards, Capt. Roland Lizotte
